“ My friend asked me to come with her here and I'm super happy she did! This is a cute hidden spot in the Grove from the same owners as Wabi Sabi. My friend opted for the omakase which was 100 and served all at once on a plate and I got the Midorie bowl which was really good and I found to be a good value! Really delicious fish and sushi! They do not take reservations and they are BYOB and don't charge you a corkage fee or anything. ”

The food is simply fantastic, with dishes that truly capture the essence of Japanese flavors. Every bite feels thoughtful and well-crafted, and it’s clear the chefs here know what they’re doing. What I love most about Midorie is how laid-back and casual it is. You can bring your kids, your dogs, and just relax—it feels so homey and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy an incredible meal in a cozy, unpretentious atmosphere, whether you’re having a casual family dinner or catching up with friends. If you’re in the Grove and looking for something special yet approachable, Midorie is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back! ”
“ This place is excellent. Great food great service, and I like the energy. It feels like a lot of the people who come here are regulars! I’d come here twice a week if I lived close. ”
“ A Memorable Date Night at Midorie My wife and I recently enjoyed a date night at Midorie in Coconut Grove, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The attention we received as diners was truly outstanding—every detail was carefully considered, making us feel valued and well taken care of throughout the evening. One of the highlights of our night was the generosity of the chef, who went above and beyond to ensure that each dish was not only fresh and delicious but also thoughtfully curated. The menu offered a perfect blend of flavors and ingredients, clearly reflecting the chef's dedication to quality. A unique aspect of Midorie that we loved is the ability to bring your own wine or sake without any uncorking fee. This added a personal touch to our evening, allowing us to enjoy our favorite bottle. If you don’t have one on hand, Vinoteca Miami is just two minutes away, making it easy to pick up a great wine or sake before your meal. Overall, our experience at Midorie was unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Coconut Grove. ”
“ Midorie is a gem! We have enjoyed eating here many times but tonight’s experience was so extra special that I had to share a review. We went to Midorie to celebrate my husband’s birthday, but with a wild little toddler, dining out can sometimes be more stressful than celebratory. The entire staff went above and beyond to make accommodations and ensure we had a great time. Not only is the quality of food and service here consistently excellent, the level of positive solution-driven energy is the type of vibe I need in my daily life! Thank you to everyone at Midorie! ”
“ Group of friends and I were in town for just the night and looking for a good sushi place. I saw a couple blog posts mention Midorie, and we were so glad we checked it out! I called ahead and while they don't take reservations, they were incredibly helpful and kind in helping us determine when to come to get a table. The outside seating is so cute and everyone was really kind! The food was incredible, our table got a lot to share and ended up ordering more because the Midorie maki roll and salmon were just that good. A hidden gem for sure, but the fresh fish is worth looking for it! ”
“ Hole in the wall restaurant, the best bowls in South Miami. All the ingredients are fresh. I like the Omakase of nigiri , any other bowls are excellent for the price. And i do like the eel hand rolled. I take my 4 year old daughter to eat ... ”
“ Excellent sushi and service. I tried 4 rolls, I ended up returning to the restaurant the same day for more. Staff helps with my order. ”
